• Rwanda - Democratic Republic of Congo Border – Congolese armed forces and UN peacekeepers continue combat operations against rebel and militia groups in North and South Kivu provinces. Violence, rape, kidnapping, and pillaging targeting civilians sporadically occur. The Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda operates in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, near the border.
