Financial Default for Travel Suppliers
Travel suppliers can experience financial issues in unstable economic times, causing some suppliers to partially or completely suspend operations. WorldTrips would like to remind you of the importance of purchasing travel protection insurance for reasons such as Financial Default.
The Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption benefits included in many of our travel protection insurance plans provide coverage for Financial Default occurring more than 14 days after your effective date. You must purchase a travel protection plan with coverage for Financial Default prior to the date when Financial Default became foreseeable in order to be eligible for coverage.

Natural disasters include events like earthquakes, floods, and wildfires and can lead to damaged accommodations, flight delays or cancellations, mandatory evacuations, and more. Travel impacted by one of these events may e eligible for travel protection coverage and assistance services.
IMPORTANT! Policies purchased prior to the outbreak of the wildfires in Greece (July 22, 2023) may provide coverage under Destination / Accommodations Uninhabitable or Mandatory Evacuation covered reasons on both Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption as well as Travel Delay. Losses occurring after the 22nd due to these wildfires would be excluded per Exclusion 17.
